Mbewuleni
Mbewuleni is a remote village in the Sakhisizwe Local Municipality of the Eastern Cape in South Africa. Its primary claim to fame is as the hometown of former state president Thabo Mbeki. Poor and bucolic, its telephone system is solar-powered. The largest family in Mbewuleni is the Mpahlwa family from the Abathembu tribe. The Tutu family also resides there, Desmond Tutu's roots are in this village. His ancestor TUTU himself was buried here. Mbewuleni is also a hometown of Kuhle Mpahlwa who is the son of Sibonile and Nokwezi Mpahlwa, Kuhle was the first soccer player that comes from Mbewuleni to play in the second division. ==References==
