Medolla is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Modena in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about northwest of Bologna and about northeast of Modena. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 5,901 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Medolla contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Villafranca and Camurana.
