Melizzano is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Benevento in the Italian region Campania, located about 45 km northeast of Naples and about 25 km west of Benevento. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,876 and an area of 17.5 km².〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Melizzano contains the ''frazione'' (subdivision) Torello.
