Mesenzana is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about northwest of Milan and about northwest of Varese. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,318 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Mesenzana contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Malpensata, Molino d'Anna, Pezza, Maro, Cà Bianca nuova, Pianazzo, Piatta, Alpe Cavoglio, Gesiola del monte San Martino, and Le Cascine.
