MetricStream has received funding from various sources, including its original co-founders and current Executive Chairman Gunjan Sinha. One of its earliest funding rounds included $14.1 million from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers in 2006, followed up by $2.5 million in 2009 from Gold Hill Capital and Montage Capital. It also held three rounds of funding in 2013, with its largest being a $48 million of a planned $70 million financing round. MetricStream merged with Zaplet, Inc. in March 2004. As part of the merger, CEO and Chairman Gunjan Sinha became the company's Executive Chairman and Zaplet CEO Shellye Archambeau became CEO of MetricStream.〔 The company moved its headquarters from Santa Clara, California to Zaplet's offices in Palo Alto and the newly formed company kept the MetricStream name.〔 Upon completion of the merger, the company had 100 employees working at its offices in Redwood Shores, California, Halifax and Nova Scotia in Canada, and Bangalore, India.〔
