The rest is web history."〔http://www.web-hosting-newsletter.com/2008/02/25/an-interview-with-web-design-gurus/〕 According to Feuer, the secret to their company's success is "insanely high standards including less than one minute to respond to customer service requests."〔http://www.inc.com/inc5000/2010/social-media-leaders-of-the-new-school.html〕

In July 2014, MindSmack launched the Smacktive app. Smacktive is a local meet-in-person app that helps people find others nearby to do activities with (free of cost and currently available in iOS). Smacktive's mission is to connect like-minded people who
may not have met before, and to help people create meaningful friendships by doing things they love to do. Their slogan is "Find people nearby to do activities with".
History:
Smacktive was founded by Sam Feuer in 2013. It was available on the web online and was originally called Healthy Smack. In 2014, a mobile version was made and Smacktive became the official name. The app was in beta in July, 2014.
Media:
In October 2014 was featured on CNN Money 〔http://money.cnn.com/2014/10/13/smallbusiness/smacktive-loneliness/ 〕 and Forbes 〔http://www.forbes.com/sites/ilyapozin/2014/10/22/five-companies-that-are-tapping-into-the-power-of-crowds-and-communities.〕
Usability:
Smacktive app has many different features. Once a user creates an account, the user will create a status that tells people what they want to do. When a user creates a status, they put a hashtag before the activity, for example 'I want to go #bowling in NYC.' By creating a hashtag (#) before the activity of choice, a user's activity will be listed.
Menu options are to find people or activities nearby, make you active, or "Smacktive", which will enable the user to let others nearby know that he/she wants to do something. There is a search function as well, allowing one to search by a person's name or an activity.
A user can also decide who to meet based on certain criteria such as gender, age and distance.
