Mius River

Mius ((ウクライナ語:Міус), (ロシア語:Миус)) is a river in Eastern Europe that flows through Ukraine and Russia. It starts in the Donets Range of Donetsk Oblast and flows through Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine and Rostov Oblast, Russia into the Mius Firth of the Sea of Azov, west of Taganrog. Its length is 258 km.
During the World War II the Germans created a heavily fortified line, known as ''Miusfront'' or ''Mius-Front'', that was an arena of fierce battles during the Battle of Rostov (1943).
