Montelongo is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Campobasso in the Italian region Molise, located about northeast of Campobasso. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 456 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 Montelongo borders the following municipalities: Bonefro, Montorio nei Frentani, Rotello, Santa Croce di Magliano.
