Moogfest
Moogfest is an annual two to five-day electronic music festival that takes place in Asheville, North Carolina, United States towards the end of April. The festival is held in Asheville because it is the city where Robert Arthur "Bob" Moog, the inventor of the Moog synthesizer and founding father of electronic music, spent the last thirty years of his life. It is said that Moogfest is put on to honor the creativity and inventiveness that Bob Moog had spread throughout the course of his life. Since Moogfest is an urban music festival, taking place in downtown Asheville, it is spread out across multiple venues. On July 14, 2015, it was announced that Moogfest 2016 would be held in Durham, North Carolina on May 19-22. ==Overview== Moogfest is the annual event that honors the remarkable vision of Robert Moog and his amazing musical inventions that changed the course of music, and celebrates Bob Moog's legacy as a sonic pioneer.
