Moorends is a village in the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster (part of South Yorkshire, England), on the border with Lincolnshire. It is part of the civil parish of Thorne, which lies to the south. Moorends is located at approximately , at an elevation of around 3 metres above sea level. The legendary goalkeeper Ted Sagar was born in Moorends in 1910. Currently (2011) Moorends has 3 fish and chip shops, 2 pizza shops, 2 Indian restaurants and 2 Chinese takeaways. It is also home to one pub, and two private members clubs.
