Morjampadu

Morjampadu is a village in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh in India with a population of around 15,000. One of the Major Panchayat in Machavaram Mandal. Agriculture is the main economy of this village. The main crops are Chilies, Cotton, Paddy and Pulses. Morjampadu is known for its educated people in the Palnadu region. There lots of people from decades have completed their education in Premier institutes.
== Overview ==

Morjampadu originated from the obsolete village Akuraju Palli in the 15th century.
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Dr Y.S.Rajashekar Reddy, inaugurated Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Lift irrigation scheme on 28th Feb 2009 in Morjampadu village.Aim of this scheeme is to create irrigation facility for upland area of around and also to mitigate the problem of drinking water in the village.
