Mossa ((スロベニア語:Moš)) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Gorizia in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about northwest of Trieste and about west of Gorizia. , it had a population of 1,689 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Mossa contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Villa Blanchis and Valisella. The name is derived from the old German "Moos Au".
