Historically, the "Vanjipuzha Principality" Palace was located here before it was destroyed. ==Notable landmarks== * Erapuzha Bridge, across Pampa river on MC road is one of the oldest narrow bridges connecting Mundancavu, to Kallissery. (Chengannur Municipality to Thiruvanvandoor panchayat).The present bridge will soon be history as a new wider (2 lane ) bridge will be constructed to connect Mundancavu( Chengannur municipality) and Kallissery.
