Based in Bangalore, India, the radio station caters to both local and international bands.

The radio station was started off in 2008 by Carlton and Gina Braganza. MyOpusRadio.com has been named as a tribute to Opus, the restaurant and bar that has been a space for music and musical activities in Bangalore.〔http://indiatoday.intoday.in/site/Story/18302/LATEST%20HEADLINES/India+gets+its+first+Internet+radio+station.html〕 In the words of founder Gina Braganza, “Opus has always being a platform for independent new talent in Bangalore and it was a natural extension to explore this area. MyOpusRadio.com started off with one channel in October 2008, with an hour based format like FM radio.
