Nagabushanam (c.1922 – May 5, 1995〔(Important people of Nellore- Nagabhushanam )〕) was a comedian and character actor of the Telugu cinema.〔(Nagabhushanam biography at Early Tollywood.com )〕 His first film was ''Palletooru'' (1951), directed by Tatineni Prakash Rao. He acted in approximately 395 films from the 1950s to the 1980s. One of his most popular stages roles was as Raktakanneru Nagabhushanam in ''Raktha Kanneeru'', which he also produced. He acted along with Vemavarapu Gowtham Kumar. Nagabushanam gave more than 2,000 performances of the drama. He played the lead in ''Edi Nijam'' (1956), a film directed by Sundaram Balachander and produced by Ghantasala Krishnamurthy of Pratibha Films.〔Edi Nijam in Naati 101 Chitralu, S. V. Rama Rao, Kinnera Publications, Hyderabad, 2006; pp: 134-5.〕 Nagabushanam produced a handful of films, including ''Natakala Rayudu'' and ''Oke Kutumbam''.
