Narkatiaganj

Narkatiaganj is a city and a notified area in West Champaran district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is a part of Tirhut Division, and situated northwest of capital of the state, Patna.
It is known for its porous border with Nepal for serving a transit point for exchange of goods and to promote trade and relationship between India and Nepal. Narkatiaganj is the only railway junction in West Champaran district.
Narkatiaganj is home to some historical establishments as such, ''Chanki Garh'' which is said to be a palace of Chankya in the reign of Chandragupta Maurya of the Mauryan period and ''Ashoka Stambha'' established by one of the greatest ruler of India, Ashoka the Great.

Narkatiaganj is a subdivision region in West Champaran district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is situated northwest of capital Patna. Additionally, speakers of Nepali and Punjabi are also present in significant numbers. Holi, Chhatth Puja, Makar Sankranti, Maha Shivratri, Vasant Panchami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Janmashtami, Raksha Bandhan, Navratra, Diwali, Bhai Dooj & Hanuman Jayanti are the main festivals of Hindus, Muharram, Id-ul-Zuha (Bakri-id), Shab-I-Barat & Id-ul-Fitr (Ramzan Id) are the main festivals of Muslims, Guru Nanak Jayanti, Guru Purab, Lohri, Installation of Guru Granth Sahibji & Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti are the main festivals of Sikhs and Christmas, Easter & Good Friday are the main festivals of Christians, celebrated in great spirits.
