Narlı Narlı (Syriac: ''Ahlah'') is a small town in Pazarcık, Kahramanmaraş Province, Turkey. The town was traditionally dominated by the Assyrian/Syriacs, but today, the Kurdish people forms a majority in the city. The population is 9,000, consisting mainly of Kurdish and the religion is mostly Alevi. It sits on a crossroads between the big cities of Adana and Gaziantep. The town was settled in 1929, starting with the opening of a railway station. The economy is based on agriculture, with cotton, wheat, maize and chili pepper grown in the area. Large numbers of the population have subsequently migrated to Europe and North America.
