Nasakhma
Nasakhma (Nasakhmaqa) was a Kushite King of Meroe. He was the successor of king Siaspiqa. Nasakhma was succeeded by Malewiebamani, who may have been his eldest son. It is possible that Talakhmani was a younger son of Nasakhma who took the throne after his brother Malewiebamani.〔Dows Dunham and M. F. Laming Macadam, Names and Relationships of the Royal Family of Napata, The Journal of Egyptian Archaeology, Vol. 35 (Dec., 1949), pp. 139-149〕 Another possibility is that Talakhmani is Malewiebamani's son 〔Samia Dafa'alla, ''Succession in the Kingdom of Napata, 900-300 B.C.'', The International Journal of African Historical Studies, Vol. 26, No. 1 (1993), pp. 167-174〕 and thus possibly Nasakhma's grandson. Nasakhma was buried at Nuri (Nu. 19).〔 The Boston Museum of Fine Arts holds several objects that may belong to Nasakhma: shabtis, vessel fragments, etc. excavated form his tomb. ==References==
