Historically it has also been used by some Sunni Muslims as a term of disapproval as well) to refer to those who, according to their view, hate the Ahl Al-Bayt (the Household of the Islamic prophet Muhammad) or their followers. The term is usually used to refer to Sunnis; however, there are also Shia hadith in which The Twelve Imams stated that some hypocrite Shias and Shia break-off sects are also Nasibis.
