Neirone is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Genoa in the Italian region Liguria, located about east of Genoa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 985 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Neirone contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Acqua di Ognio, Corsiglia, Lezzaruole, Ognio, Roccatagliata, and San Marco D'Urri.
