''Mimus'' is a bird genus in the family Mimidae. It contains the typical mockingbirds. In 2007, the genus ''Nesomimus'' was merged into ''Mimus'' by the American Ornithologists' Union.〔(American Ornithologists' Union, changes since 2005 )〕
