It was a protest against femicides in the country. ==Context== There are no official statistics in Argentina about femicides. However, a number of non-governmental organizations estimate an average of one death per 30 hours, based on reports seen in the media. The crimes initially took place in homes, but have extended to public places as well. The demonstration was called with the hashtag "#NiUnaMenos". Several journalists, intellectuals and activists explained the problems during the previous three weeks. The current law against gender violence in Argentina is not implemented, as there is no budget, criminal register, or specially trained security forces. The law has 45 articles, of which eleven are partially implemented and only eight are fully implemented.
