Noank, Connecticut
Noank is a village and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Groton in New London County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 1,796 at the 2010 census. The original settlement in Noank along Elm Street (Route 215) and east of it towards Morgan Point is listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places. ==Geography== According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.2 square miles (5.7 km2), of which 1.5 square miles (4.0 km2) is land and 0.7 square miles (1.7 km2) (30.32%) is water. The CDP includes areas further west and north from the original village, extending as far west as Palmer Cove and as far north as U.S. Route 1.
