Nordlie, also spelled Nordli is a surname of Norwegian origin. In Norwegian and Danish the name means "northern slope" or "northern hill". The surname consists of two components: ''nord'' meaning north, and ''lie'' (Danish)/ ''li'' (Norwegian) meaning slope or hill.
