Novohrad-Volynskyi (, translit.: ''Novohrad-Volyns’kyi''; (ロシア語:Новоград-Волынский), translit.: ''Novograd-Volynsky''; (イディッシュ語:זוויל) translit. ''Zvil''; (ポーランド語:Zwiahel)) is a city in the Zhytomyr Oblast (province) of northern Ukraine. It serves as the administrative center of Novohrad-Volynskyi Raion (district), though administratively it does not belong to the raion and is incorporated separately as a city of oblast significance. Population: The town is best known as the birthplace of Lesya Ukrainka, famous Ukrainian poet.
