Nukapedia is a wiki about the ''Fallout'' fictional universe. It covers all of the ''Fallout'' video games, as well as all ''Fallout'' related content. Nukapedia runs on MediaWiki and is currently part of the Wikia network. The site supports many foreign language Fallout wikis that operate independently of the main site, but offer a translation link between them; these languages include Bulgarian, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish. ==History and description== Nukapedia traces its history back to The Vault, which was founded by Paweł Dembowski〔 and launched on February 7, 2005, initially hosted by ''Fallout'' fansite Duck and Cover,〔 as a general source of information about the ''Fallout'' universe, initially focusing mostly on information about the ''Fallout'' world, as depicted in ''Fallout'' and ''Fallout 2''. Its purpose was to continue the work started by ''Fallout 2'' developer Chris Avellone in his ''Fallout Bible'', which was meant to be a reference guide to the ''Fallout'' fictional universe, but was abandoned after Avellone left Black Isle Studios.〔 Since the launch, the wiki has expanded to include the entire ''Fallout'' series, both in terms of the fictional universe and in terms of gameplay information and help. In October 2011, The Vault was split by its founder and many of the administrators moved The Vault branding to FalloutWiki.com, and later (fallout.gamepedia.com ), both hosted by Curse, along with a copy of all existing content at that time.〔 Despite this, much of the community, and traffic, stayed at the original location, and rechristened themselves Nukapedia. Immediately focusing on growing content, their rolling coverage of the court case between Fallout franchise owner Bethesda Softworks and former owner Interplay Entertainment helped to establish their dominance after the split. The site has continued to grow, Launching new features and contests to help keep both regulars and new visitors coming to the site, often seeing as many as 1.1 million hits per day. These contests have included "Fallout Apprentice", which in one round saw Fallout 2 and New Vegas developer Chris Avellone as guest judge. Prior to the split, in an interview with Eurogamer, the wiki's founder has stated that it has even been used as a source by developers of recent ''Fallout'' games, citing one example of lore in ''Fallout 3'' being influenced by The Vault.〔 Nukapedia has also worked to make available several Fallout music tracks and cut scenes on its (Youtube Channel ). 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Nukapedia」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
