Olszyna

Olszyna ((ドイツ語:Langenöls)) is a town in Lubań County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. Its name means "alder wood" in Polish. It is the seat of the administrative district (gmina) called Gmina Olszyna. It lies approximately south-east of Lubań, and west of the regional capital Wrocław. As at 2006, the town has a population of 4,786.
Prior to 1945 it was in Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles. It received its town charter in 2005.
