Omniavatar is a multinational progressive metal band formed in 2008. They have released one album called "United Earth", consisting of a number of musical genres such as progressive metal, black metal, ambient music, symphonic metal and speed metal. ==History== Timo Komulainen founded Omniavatar as he began writing the story of "United Earth" in December 2008. Mikko Virtala (ex-Funeris Nocturnum) quickly proved himself to be the drummer of choice, being able to handle the wide range of styles Omniavatar represents. Soon after the guitars were recorded at the home studio of Erno, followed vocals. Johanna Vakkuri (ex-Ensiferum) lent her voice to Suzana, a female character in the story. While received with some publicity, it suffered from lack of promotion. The band never became a full line-up capable of live performances and disbanded. In early 2012 Timo met Miguel Arcangel Fraticelli, who soon became Omniavatar's new drummer. They agreed to compose a successor to "United Earth" and start performing live shows.
