Origgio is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about northwest of Milan and about southeast of Varese. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,777 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Origgio contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Cascina Muschiona and Cascina Broggio.
