At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision of the municipality Mirditë.〔(Law nr. 115/2014 )〕 The population at the 2011 census was 1,899.〔(2011 census results )〕 The seat of the former municipality was the town of Reps. The former Orosh Abbey was located in the municipality.
