Founded as "mPOINT" in 2007 by Chris Cali, Frank Gatto, and Chiranjeev Bordoloi, the company became known for their TranSend technology which allowed for transcoding, metadata creation and management, syndication, packaging, delivery and reporting - all performed in the cloud, which generates cost-savings and simpler work flows. The platform also focused on mobile video advertising, where TranSend was able to call a video ad file from an ad server such as DART, along with the source file for the requested video and encode both on-the-fly into the device’s optimal file format.
