Piracha
''Piracha'' (also known as Peracha, Pracha, Paracha, (Persian: پاراچا) , (Urdu: پراچہ) is a Muslim family name, originating from the descendants of Ali Yamani, Ali Yamani, was responsible for the preparation of Muhammad seating area. Later, after his extended family began to participate in this task, they became known as Ferashas. The Piracha tribe, which is one of the largest in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran today. == History == They were migrated from northern Yemen in the time of Prophet Muhammad (in 7th Century AD) and travelled to Iran where they were called Ferashas or people who were direct descendants of one Ali Yamani, a cloth trader who used to prepare the ground for Prophet Muhammad to pray upon. Ferash in Persian means ground. FerashA many from this clan travelled to Afghanistan and then settled in Pakistan. Most of them settled in Makhad in about 12th Century AD. In Pakistan they became to known as Pirachas. Its is believed the clan settled in what is presently northern Pakistan. Today, the Pirachas are scattered all over the world, and follow the various professions which is mainly business, trading, journalism, and politics. Piracha's (known by the individual prefixes of the seven groups) are wealthy Muslim traders of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and north western Punjab of Pakistan. Pirachas shares strong bound with Iran as their ancestors migrated from that land which has one of the world's oldest civilizations and Iran is the land which gave their clan a name "Ferasha".
