Parghelia is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Vibo Valentia in the Italian region Calabria, located about southwest of Catanzaro and about west of Vibo Valentia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,383 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Parghelia contains the ''frazione'' (subdivision) Fìtili. Parghelia borders the following municipalities: Drapia, Tropea, Zaccanopoli, Zambrone.
