Pattusali
Pattusali (also spelt as Pattushali or Patha Sali) ((テルグ語:పట్టుశాలి)) is a caste of the Telugu-speaking [] weavers caste.〔[http://www.aponline.gov.in/apportal/departments/departments.asp?dep=03&org=111 Padmasali subcastes]〕 They are found largely in the South Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The members of this subcaste specialise in weaving silk cloth, known as ''Pattu'' in Tamil, hence the name ''Pattusali''. Pattusalis are Sourastra people and is not a subcaste of Padmasalis, the Pattusalis follow the Tamil style of cloth weaving, and had Tamil customs and followed Tamil practices. All the community members follow Hinduism and are mainly Vaishnavas, though there is a significant proportion of Shaivas as well.〔 ==See also==
