Penugonda is a mandal in West Godavari district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India 〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=List of Sub-Districts )〕 and comes under the Achanta Assembly Constituency of West Godavari District. Penugonda is famous for the Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari temple, which is the most important temple for Arya Vysyas community. The other famous temple here is Sri Nagareswara Swamy temple dedicated to Lord Siva.
