''Phoxophrys'' is a genus within the Agamidae family. They are distributed in Sumatra and Borneo. ''Phoxophrys'' closely resemble the genus ''Japalura'' but differ in a number of characters, for example by absence of dorsal crest and by having relatively shorter and deeper head.
