Pimple Saudagar
Pimple Saudagar is an area in Pune within the limits of Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal corporation, an Urban Agglomeration of Pune City, India. Situated from Hinjewadi and centered in between the suburbs of Baner and Aundh, the locality is a developing residential area that attracts the newer population of the city. Its proximity to the Rajiv Gandhi InfoTech Park located at Hinjewadi makes it a residential hub for people working in the Information Technology industry.
==History==
Pimple Saudagar was an underdeveloped village. Prior to its development, most of the inhabitants were poor peasants practicing agriculture and wood carving, deprived of basic public services. From the late 1990s, the village grew to catch up with the vast industrialization and expansion of the nearby Pune city. In 2001, the area was connected to the Mumbai-Pune Expressway by the Katraj–Dehu Road Bypass Road. The introduction of IT Park near Hinjewadi sparked a tremendous real estate growth in the region favored by IT professionals.
