Pimpri
Pimpri is a suburb of Pune in the Pune Metropolitan Area in the state of Maharashtra, India. It consists of the twin towns of Pimpri and Chinchwad which are governed by a common municipal body the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation or PCMC. It is located to the North-West of Pune city and is well connected to the center of Pune city via the Old Pune-Mumbai Highway. ==Demographics== The main language spoken in the town is Marathi and Sindhi. Around 80% population is Sindhi. It is one of the busiest business hubs in the country famous for its Clothing and eateries. Well versed with religious spots for all religions, Pimpri is an example of Unity in Diversity of the country and depicts a true Indian spirit. People are known for their helping hand and charity for various religious and other occasions. Mata Vaishnav Devi Temple, a replica of original in Katra is one of the most visited places. Pimpri, also known as Pimpri Saheb, is a place where saints from all community dwell and is known as next Haridwar of India. Some of the famous saints of Pimpri are Sant Baba Thariya Singh Ji, Sant Mata Radhabai (Adi Ama), Sant Baba Joginder Singh Ji (Moni Baba), Sant Baba Inderjit Singh Ji (Gyaniji), Sant Baba Moolsingh Ji, Sant Baba Chhaturam Ji, Sant Baba Govindram Ji, Sant Hardasram Ji and Sant Murlidhar Ji, devotees of Bhagat Kanwarram and the list goes on. People from various parts of the country come to visit religious places by which Pimpri is surrounded. Langar is organised by various social groups on weekly/monthly/yearly basis. Cheti ChandMela is celebrated on a huge scale, where, celebrities from Bollywood are called upon & Julelal Chaliyo is also Celebrated in Full spirit by local residents.
