Pirniče is a common name for two villages in central Slovenia in municipality of Medvode, 12 km NW from Ljubljana. Larger is Zgornje Pirniče, smaller and closer to Ljubljana is Spodnje Pirniče, known as birthplace of Slovene partisan commander Franc Rozman.
