Pollstar
''Pollstar'' is a trade publication for the concert tour industry. It gets its information primarily from the agents, managers and promoters who produce concerts. ==History and profile== Founded in 1981 in Fresno, California, ''Pollstar'' essentially purloined the format pioneered by ''Performance Magazine'', founded a decade earlier in Ft. Worth, Texas. ''Pollstar'' won a war of attrition with ''Performance'', which abruptly ceased publication in 1999. Today, ''Pollstar'' has an office in London and correspondents in six countries. The magazine is a member of the Associated Press (AP). Its subscribers receive the weekly magazine and access to its online databases.〔 ''Pollstar'' once held an annual award ceremony to honor artists and professionals in the concert industry.
