The Eastman School of Music is a comprehensive school of music located in Rochester, New York. The Eastman School is a professional school within the University of Rochester. The acceptance rate is 13% (2011). About 1,000 students (ranging in age from 18 years to over 80 years of age) are enrolled in the Eastman School’s Community Music School. ==History== Alfred Klingenberg, a Norwegian pianist, was the school's first director.
