Pontechianale is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about southwest of Turin and about northwest of Cuneo, on the border with France. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 202 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Pontechianale contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Maddalena (capoluogo), Castello, Villaretto, Rueite, Genzana, Forest, and Chianale.
