Porkellis ((コーンウォール語:Porthkellys))〔(Place-names in the Standard Written Form (SWF) ) : (List of place-names agreed by the MAGA Signage Panel ). Cornish Language Partnership.〕 is a village in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is about three and a half miles north east of Helston, and is in the heart of the old Wendron mining district. The village has a pub (The Star Inn), a Methodist chapel, a village hall and a primary school. ==Chapels== Porkellis has two chapels, both of which are Grade II listed. The original chapel was built in 1814, whereas the latter Wesleyan chapel was bigger and built in 1866 alongside the older one. When the latter chapel was built the original was converted into a schoolroom.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 Wendron mines and sites )〕 Services now take place in the earlier Trinity Chapel as the state of the Wesleyan chapel is deteriorating. The village also had a church (dedicated to St Christopher) which was built in the 19th century, and was a chapel of ease in the parish of Carnmenellis. This closed in the 1970s, but is now used as the village hall.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 Wendron Parish Council )〕 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Porkellis」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
