Powayan
Powayan is a town and a subdivisional headquarters in Shahjahanpur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.It was established originally from Nahil, in order to protect the royal family in historic time and Powayan was a purvaiyan chowki.(east - and the word became Powayan or Powayan in later times) ==Demographics== India census, Powayan had a population of 28,613. Powayan (Earstwhile Zamindari) is a town area in the current state of Uttar Pradesh in India, 27 km from Shahjahanpur. It is located in the fertile agricultural belt of Northern India and is 300 km from Delhi and 200 km from Lucknow. It was established in the 18th century.
