:''"Praha-Libeň" redirects here. For the district of Prague, see Libeň.'' Praha-Libeň railway station ((チェコ語:Nádraží Praha-Libeň)) is a mainline railway station located in Libeň, Prague 9. It is situated on track 11 linking Prague to Český Brod and Kolín, which also forms part of the main railway corridor linking Prague to Brno and Olomouc. Since its reconstruction which took place between 2008 and 2010, as part of the Nové Spojení project, several international services have served this station as well as the more central Praha hlavní nádraží. The station area also contains a large freight yard and is a centre for freight services operated by ČD Cargo as well as passenger transport. The station served 876,000 passengers in 2006.〔(Ročenka dopravy Praha 2006 )〕 The line from Olomouc to Prague as it was first opened in 1845 passed through the then village of Libeň, but a station was not built on the line until 1877, between the then named ''Praha statní nádraží'' (today's Masarykovo nádraží) and Běchovice stations. In 1923 the station was renamed Libeň horní nádraží (Libeň high-level station) to distinguish it from the low-level station (dolní nádraží) which led to the now demolished terminus at Těšnov. In 1926 a cut-and-cover line was built under Vítkov hill linking Libeň station to Praha hlavní nádraží.
