Muni Pramansagar is a Digambar Jain ascetic who took initiative in ''Dharmbachao Andolan'' to oppose the High Court's decision to ban Sallekhana. He called for a massive gathering of 1 crore community members to celebrate the Supreme Court's order staying the ban on Sallekhana by chanting 1 crore hymns. Gunayatan is one of his other religious initiatives. His pravachans and Shanka Samadhan programme are aired on Jinvani channel as ''Santvani (Praman Sagar Ji Maharaj)''.
== Biography ==
Muni Pramansagar was born on 27 June 1967 in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand and his birthname was Naveen Kumar Jain. His parents Shri Surendra Kumar Jain and Shrimati Sohni Devi Jain live near Bengali Durga Mandap. He got Vairagya on 4 March 1984 and was initiated as a Jain Muni by Acharya Vidyasagar on 31 March 1988 in Sonagiri. On the issue of Sallekhana controversy, he said
He has written books titled Jain Tattv Vidya, Tirthankar, Jain Dhram Aur Darshan, Divya Jeevan Ke dwaar and Jyotirmay Jeevan.
