Profi was a discount supermarket that sold cheap own-brand products as well as the big brand names at reduced prices. The company was owned by Louis Delhaize Group. Now the brand is used by a Romanian Supermarkets chain formerly owned by Louis Delhaize Group, bought in 2009 and further developed by a fund detained by Enterprise Investors from Poland. At the transaction time Profi had only 67 stores in Romania, now (2015) has 275 units and counting.
