Przedecz is a town in Koło County in the Greater Poland Voivodeship of Poland, with 1,779 inhabitants (2006). It is west of Central Poland, midway between Chodecz and Kłodawa. It is about northwest of Łódź, west of Warsaw and east of Poznań. The southeast side of Przedecz borders on Lake Przedecz. Przedecz is first mentioned in historical sources in 1136. Municipal laws were introduced in 1365 by Kazimierz the Great. A castle with a round tower dating from that time was reconstructed in the 1970s.〔(Przedecz.net - Nieoficjalny Serwis Miasta Przedecz )〕 The town hall was built in 1826. Other sites of interest are an early twentieth century neo-gothic church.〔 During World War II, the Jewish community of Przedecz was wiped out by the Nazis.
