Pulinkunnoo
Pulinkunnoo is an island village in Alappuzha district in the Indian state of Kerala.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Census of India:Villages with population 5000 & above ) 〕 The Pampa river in Pulincunnoo is one of the most favored routs of the houseboats tourism operators in Kuttanadu. The village is part of the Kerala Backwaters, a network of lakes, wetlands, and canals. Pulincunno is notable for the annual Rajiv Gandhi Trophy boat race held during the months of October – November. ==Education== Considered an educational village, Pulinkunnoo has schools and colleges that are hundreds of years old. St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School is one of the important and the oldest institution in Pulincunnoo, with more than 118 years of its presence.Many prominent personalities including Sri. M. V. Pylee (former Vice Chancellor of Cochin University)' Fr. Mathew Chathamparambil (the present Vice Chancellor of Christ University, Bangalore) etc. are the former students of this school. . Cochin University College of Engineering Kuttanad under CUSAT, is a famous engineering college at this place. Notable educational institutions from the village include: Little Flower Girls High School Pulincunnoo, Amalolbava lower primary school, St. Mary's ITC,K E Carmel ICSE School etc. Students from far and wide, in and around kuttanadu became well educated in this small village premises.
