Quaibrücke (Zürich)

Quaibrücke (Quay Bridge) is a road and tramway bridge over the effluence of the Limmat river of Zürichsee in the municipality of Zürich in the Canton of Zürich in Switzerland. It is indirectly named after Arnold Bürkli who initiated the construction of the ''Quaianlagen'' promenades that were built between 1881 and 1887.
== Geography ==
Quaibrücke meaning ''quays bridge'', referring to the Quaianlagen lake shore promenades, is situated at the effluence of the Limmat river of the Zürichsee and connects the Bürkliplatz and Bellevueplatz squares in the southern centre of Zürich. It is a nodal point of the Tram lines 2, 5, 8, 9 and 11, as well of the road traffic between General-Guisan-Quai, Limmatquai, Rämistrasse and Utoquai in the Zürich quarters of Enge, Hochschulen, Lindenhof, Rathaus and Seefeld.
